Within just five months of booking her venue and setting the date, Marita and Sam's wedding day arrived, leaving their guests and vendors in awe. Named after the owner's hometown of Shiraz in Southern Iran, Shiraz Garden captures the essence of Persian heritage while seamlessly blending with the natural beauty of its surroundings. Although the venue is not overtly Persian, it boasts architectural elements and small traditional touches that hold deep significance for Persian couples and their families. From the inviting bench seating to the abundance of fountains and fruit trees, each element evokes a sense of nostalgia and cherished cultural traditions.

Winter Wedding Outdoor Ceremony

Guests were welcomed with a warmed spiced drink at 4 pm, and then just before 4:30, guests were led down the forest path to Sunset Vista for a 4:30 pm ceremony. Sunset Vista can seat up to 150 guests and has impressive views in every direction with little windows looking out to the Hill Country.

One of the most cherished additions that Persian couples adore at Shiraz Garden is the venue's extensive collection of authentic hand-knotted Persian rugs.

These remarkable pieces can be incorporated into various aspects of the wedding, adding a touch of luxury and cultural richness. FIRST LOOK AT THE HIDDEN STAIRCASE

Marita and Sam had a private First Look at the Hidden Staircase — the perfect spot for this beauty, privacy, and shade — and the results were timeless! We love having couples take advantage of our beautiful spaces by carving out time for a first look. This gives the couple private time to soak in their day and each other and rush-free photos before the ceremony.

COUPLES STORY

Like so many these days, we met online on a dating app! He was very polite and gentlemanly :) our first date was at Contigo, and our second date at Juniper a few days later, after texting for a few weeks. We got engaged on our third anniversary, September 5th, in Vondelpark in Amsterdam. It was romantic and simple, and we had a lovely dinner to celebrate.

We choose Shiraz Garden for the Hill Country views and I was conceived in Shiraz, where my parents lived in the late 70's, my dad is from Iran.
